The city of Yamaga has a climate and soil suitable for sake brewing, and is home to wine, sake, and whiskey breweries that are highly rated nationwide. Why don’t you try to visit each sake brewery and enjoy a culinary experience with snacks made from local ingredients and a renowned choice of sake? Guided tours of each sake brewery are also available upon request (on some days, this service is not available).
× Sake: Chiyonosono Sake Brewery (sake)
A historic sake brewery that started producing sake in 1896. Because it was originally a rice shop, since its founding, the brewery has always paid specific attention to the quality of rice, which is the main ingredient to prepare sake. Its sake, which is made with the desire to enrich the mind of the drinker, has won numerous awards and received high praise both domestically and internationally. At the end of 2023, a standing bar will open in a renovated wooden warehouse, where you can enjoy the famous sake of the historic Chiyonosono Sake Brewery.
